Tuscany Trail registration

All participants MUST present a competitive medical certificate for Cycling issued by a Sports Medical Center or a Doctor, and valid at the time of submission. The medical certificate must expire after June 30, 2027. If the certificate is not compliant, it will be rejected and canceled, and the registrant will have to provide a new valid one. The medical certificate must specifically be for CYCLING.

We cannot accept medical certificates issued for other sports such as triathlon, athletics, etc. Those who do not comply with this requirement will not be considered officially registered and will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee. Each participant must declare, under D.P.R. no. 445 of December 28, 2000, that the documents they submit are truthful and correspond to the originals in their possession. The valid certificate must be uploaded to the designated area by April 15, 2027. If you are not resident in Italy, you can use the template provided in your user area.

Yes. To ensure each participant has the best possible experience on the ground, we limit the number of participants per departure day. If you have a day already in mind for your departure, we recommend that you sign up before it runs out.

None at the time of registration. Completing the registration process is sufficient. Later, you will be required to submit the medical certificate via the dedicated section on the website (you no longer need to send the certificate via email). SEE ABOVE.

This is undoubtedly one of the most frequently asked questions by participants. Let’s clarify right away that the route is designed to be ridden on a MTB. The trail is extremely varied and covers gravel roads, secondary paved roads, and trails. Over the years, participants have used all kinds of bikes, from cyclocross (and of course gravel) to enduro bikes. The truth is, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. If you use a gravel bike, you’ll be fast on the gravel roads and paved sections, but you may struggle a bit on the trails and rugged paths, while a MTB will handle the rough sections with ease but may slow you down on paved roads.

The Tuscany Trail is a “one-stage” event, meaning there are no set stages, and each participant stops to eat and sleep along the route whenever they want. The best advice is to carefully study the route before departing to have a general idea of where you might want to stop.

We don’t have any specific partnerships along the route. The best method to find a place at the best possible price is to use technology, particularly booking.com and Google Maps. The offers you’ll find on these two platforms are the best available, and even we wouldn’t be able to negotiate better deals with a potential partnership. Google Maps allows you to understand where a place is and how many kilometers away it is, while booking.com lets you book online.

There’s no way to register for the Tuscany Trail outside the official registration period. We receive many emails from people asking to register after the registration window has closed. The registration period lasts several months, and this is the only opportunity to register. We strongly recommend subscribing to our newsletter and checking it regularly. We’ll remind you of important dates.

As per the rules, which you must read before registering, there is no refund/partial refund/transfer of registration to the following year.

Cancellation – If, for reasons beyond the control of the organization, such as environmental or health-related issues on a national or international level, the event cannot take place, the fee paid at the time of registration will not be refunded but will be considered valid for the following edition. However, the organization reserves the right to charge a small fee for administrative and membership renewal costs to those registered for the next edition.

Postponement –Additionally, for reasons beyond our control or other serious reasons that may jeopardize the preparation or participation of at least half of the registered participants, the organization reserves the right to change the date and/or location of the event within the same calendar year. In this case, the registration fee will remain valid for the rescheduled event, without any additional costs for the participants. It is not possible to transfer the registration to the following year in this case.
